Neemrana Fort Palace

Built in 1464 AD by king Raj Dev, Neemrana Fort-Palace is one of India's oldest heritage resorts. The Fort palace is sited on a majestic plateau, concealed within the Aravalli ranges. The stepped palaces of this architectural jewel are cut into the hillside, sprawling over 3 acres. This picturesque site was chosen by Raja Rajdeo and Neemrana derived its name from a brave local chieftain Nimola Meo, who when defeated by the Chauhans, pleaded that his name be given to his lost kingdom. From 1986, the ruins of this Fort-Palace have been sensitively restored and reconstructed to provide the world with one of the finest heritage hotels of India. It is Rajasthan's closest palace from New Delhi, situated at 122 kms on the Delhi-Jaipur highway - only 100 kms from Delhi's international airport.

The rooms are furnished with an assorted mix of Indian and colonial furniture, antiques and curious. Most rooms have private balconies or terraces. All the 40 rooms (33 double beds and 38 Single Beds) spread over 10 levels, are equipped with modern amenities. The hotel has numerous restaurants. Breakfasts and snacks are served at Raj Mahal and Hawa Mahal while lunches & dinners are hosted at AAm Khas, Panch Mahal, Amaltasse, Aranya Mahal, Holi Kund and Maha Burj. The other facilities extended by the Neemrana Fort are free yoga and meditation exercises, guided tours of the Fort, ayuervedic rejuvenation and other holistic treatment, swimming pool, jacuzzi, library, trekking and camel and jeep safaris.

An ideal getaway, Neemrana Fort and Palace brings alive the splendor of the royal past.
