Heritage Hotels in Rajasthan

Samode Bagh

Built 150 years ago by one of the sons of the brave Pritviraj Singh Ji of Amber, Samode Bagh is designed according to the geometric style of a Mughal garden where members of the Samode Royal family came to enjoy rare moments of privacy. Sprawling over 20 acres of beautiful grounds, this heritage hotel provides an atmosphere that is quiet, relaxed & elegant combined with warmth and luxury. The garden, about three blocks long and enclosed by a 15-foot high stonewall has a 200 feet long row of fountains fed from natural springs and wells. Situated at a distance of 56 kms from the Jaipur airport and 40 kms from the railway station, Samode Bagh relives the splendor of the bygone era.

Samode Bagh is unique in the way that instead of rooms, tented camps are provided by the way of accommodation. The 44 air-conditioned colored tents, with carpeted floors, electric lights and heating, marble bathrooms, inner fabric that is specially designed and printed with floral motifs in warm earthy colors and ceiling of gold patterned muslin are the last word in elegance and luxurious comfort. The blend of Victorian and traditional Rajasthani décor echo the life in a 16th century luxury camp.

The leisure center features amenities, which include lawn tennis, croquet, badminton, handball and supervised games. Other facilities extended by the hotel are laundry, car park, safety vaults, currency exchange counter, acceptance of credit cards and doctor on call. For entertainment, it also organizes camel, jeep and horse safaris, day-trips to museums of Jaipur. Al fresco dining at the Bagh is also a sensuous experience with exotic rajasthani cuisine accompanied by music, song and dance. Receptions up to 350 people can be organized. Special lunches and dinners can be arranged with a live bar-be-que.

Samaode Bagh is an ideal hideaway, which brings its visitors closer to the soul of the nature.
