Rajmahal
Bhindar
Rajmahal Bhindar was established by Maharaja Shakti Singh, the
younger brother of Maharana Pratap in 1578 in the beautiful city
of Udaipur. The main attractions are the Sitamata wild life sanctuary
and the Jai Samand Lake, the largest man-made lake in the region.
The hotel is situated at a distance of 32 kms from the Udaipur
airport and 60 kms from the railway station.
A
singular feature of this heritage hotel is that there are magnificent
jharokas in each of its 10 rooms. The rooms, which overlook the
picturesque countryside, are traditionally decorated, with old
portraits of the family and a royal collection of arms lending
an old world charm to this place. They are equipped with all the
modern amenities including attached bath with hot/cold water and
telephones. The hotel restaurant offers authentic Indian, especially
rajasthani cuisine.
The
tourists can enjoy traditional folk music like Ghoomar and Gorband
of the Nagarchis, and the folk dances of Bheel, Meena, and Banjara
tribes that are organized by the Rajmahal Bhindar Hotel.
