Arrive
at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International
Airport and transfer to your chosen
hotel. An afternoon tour will introduce
you to Old Delhi and includes a visit
to the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid
- one of the largest and most impressive
mosques in India - and Chandni Chowk
market. |

In the
morning see New Delhi's impressive government
buildings and spacious parks, Humayun's
Tomb (which served as a model for the
Taj Mahal), the 800-year old Qutab Minar,
and drive along Rajpath to the imposing
India Gate and Parliament House. The
remainder of the day is spent at leisure.

Depart
for Agra by car. In the afternoon you
explore the mediaeval city and the 17th
century architectural masterpiece, the
Taj Mahal - perhaps one of the world's
most magnificent buildings. Afterwards,
you visit Agra Fort, whose red sandstone
ramparts overlook a bend in the Yamuna
River, and you can investigate the bargains
in the local bazaar. |

Depart
for Jaipur by car, en route visiting
Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar's deserted
capital, where a variety of regional
Indian styles combine with central Asian
and Persian influences to create a unique
architectural heritage virtually untouched
by over four centuries since its construction.

In
the morning visit Jaipur's Amber Fort
- where you can take an elephant ride
before exploring the fort's massive
gateways, shaded courts, sweeping stairways
and pillared pavilions - and the Sheesh
Mahal, its walls inlaid with exquisite
mirror motifs. In the afternoon tour
the city of Jaipur, visiting the museum
and the Palace of Winds. |

Depart
for Delhi by car where, after checking
in to your chosen hotel, the rest of
the day is at leisure. |
