Guided
tours depart daily from the tourist office at
the main train station throughout the year according
to demand, picking up passengers en route at
RTDC hotels. Ring Tel 375466 for more details.
Booking can be made either at the tourist office
at the train station, or at the Tourist Reception
Centre at the RTDC's Tourist Hotel.
Approved
guides for local sightseeing can be hired through
the tourist officer at the Tourist Reception
Centre. A half-day (four hour) tour for up to
four people is Rs.230. A full-day (eight hour)
tour for to four people is Rs.345. An extra
fee of Rs.100 for both tours is levied for French,
German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish speaking
guides.
The
Rajasthan Travel Service (Tel.365408) is on
the first floor of the Ganpati Plaza on MI Rd.
It offers a half/full-day tour of Jaipur for
Rs.75/125 per person, which includes a free
pick-up from most hotels. It also has a 'Jaipur
by Night' tour for Rs.300 per person, including
dinner.
